Mastering
While recording is the creation of sonic art, mastering is the icing on the cake of any project. In very general terms, mastering accomplishes two things: increases the apparent level, and smoothes out any remaining rough edges in the mix. Mastering shouldn't be heard so much as felt. Most music that we record and mix, however, does not require much normalization, expansion, or compression. Our double delicate mastering method retains the dynamics that are present in acoustic music.

Graphic Design
One of the more important things to consider is a well thought out graphic design for the CD insert, and label. We use the professional lithographic program, Quark Express on all design work. Compact Recording Systems works with you to develop your ideas, or you can just let us create your CD cover from scratch. We enjoy working with you to blend the project material on your CD and the visual representation of your effort. The end result unites the sight and the sound, and makes your project much more than just a recording.
