For those of you who have been selected to record audio material or to prepare audio for an upcoming video, there are certain steps you will follow to achieve your best effort. You may be recording alone or with another person. In each case we will set up a click track or metronome if you wish. In your headphones, you will hear your tempo as well as playback or voice. Sometimes a performance will be completely error free, but we may still ask you to play or sing each selection a number of times. This will permit us to make a composite of your performance. The final recording may actually be a number of audio objects that are joined together. The method of joining these audio objects is called a crossfade. The crossfade will be silent. The listener will not be able to tell where it occurs.

You may elect at any time to hire backup musicians to help on your recorded effort or you may record solo. The studio also has the capability of adding synthesized instruments as needed. Certain other live backup, both vocal and instrumental may be provided as part of your candidacy.

After we have recorded the tracks, we will set up an editing session. This is when we set the levels and automation of each track, set the equalization and effects, and perform timing and pitch corrections if they are necessary.

Below are a few samples.
